Jerry Wayne purchased a Tennessee Lottery instant scratch game and won a whopping $250,000. Apparently, he was so excited that he “screamed like a girl”! Because this was an instant win, the clerk who sold him the ticket verified all the screaming.

Jackie Cisneros

Jackie Cisneros you’ve just won the Mega Millions Lotto and $266 million. You’re going to quit your job, right? Nope. Jackie who works in the newsroom at KNBC kept working, even after she won the lottery. How’s that for loving your job?

Merle and Pat Butler

Merle and Pat Butler of Red Bud, Illinois won $110.5 million. The couple was one of three winners of the Mega Million jackpot that totaled $656 million. The lottery win came when Merle purchased $3 worth of Quick Pick tickets. The couple says that they don’t think that their day-to-day lives will change just because they won the lottery.

Jim and Carolyn McCullar

The McCullars, Jim and Carolyn, won the Jan. 4, 2011 Mega Millions lottery to the tune of $380 million. Upon winning, Jim said he plans to give some of the money to his kids, as well as to charity. He does not however, plan to buy a jet and fly all over the world. He said that he wanted this money to go from generation to generation.

The ConAgra Eight

On Feb. 18, 2006 eight employees of a Nebraska ConAgra meatpacking plant won $365 million. Three of the winners quit the plant immediately; while the other five reported to work for their next shift.

Robert and Frances Chaney/Steve and Carolyn West

These two couples split the October 19, 2005 Powerball winnings of $340 million. The Wests did what many people dream of doing if they had won the Powerball. They purchased a large home on six acres, complete with a pool and 30-foot waterslide.
